Boteti River (Khumaga) Overnight Trip
Overview
This quick overnight escape from Gweta to Makgadikgadi Pans National Park is perfect for immersing in the Boteti River's wildlife spectacle without a long commitment, early rains will green the riverbanks, drawing in impala herds, plus resident elephants, hippos, and birds—though the full zebra/wildebeest migration peaks during the dry season. Expect 70% chance of elephants along the river; rarer sightings include lions or cheetahs.
We leave Makgadikgadi Plains anytime of the day except late in the afternoon, we do game drive into the park to our overnight private campsite which we normally arrive late in the evening. Upon arrival our camp would be ready with dinner prepared by the chef on open fire.
In the morning we have breakfast and do a morning game drive in the park before heading back to Makgadikgadi Plains.
